Right. We're having ourselves an election next Monday and this is how you better vote, or you're punished!
OFFICE OF MAYOR
How lucky are we in San Francisco to have an opportunity to vote for not one, but three different candidates for the office of mayor, eh? San Francisco has implemented ranked choice voting and that's like totally ironic since supposedly our current mayor, Gavin "Gruesome" Newsom, has no competition at all if you pay attention to the joke newspapers this town barely bothers to poop out on a daily basis. Well fuck that! I'd sooner stick needles in my eyes than vote for a man who'd date the likes of Jennifer "Bumble Bee" Siebel, not to mention shag his best friend's wife when she "showed up all drunk and passed out on his doorstep" and then blame it on the white wine addiction he developed when his last wife ran off to join the circus (aka Fox News). Tell me I'm wasting my vote, mother fucker, and I will cut you!
CHOICE #1 - QUINTIN MECKE
You may recall that I initially dismissed Mr. Mecke when the deadline for filing came and went and he hadn't even bothered to have a website up and ready. My bad. I take back my dismissal. Mr. Mecke's platform is solid, comprehensive, and well formulated. His values are strongly progressive and what's best, he's serious about running for this office. He advocates community policing, is an advocate for cyclists like myself, and supports serious Muni reform. What's more, as a person with a solid background in non-profit social services, he has the kind of experience and knowledge we need in addressing our problem with homelessness in this city. Based on what I'd read, I had preliminarily decided to support him for mayor. Van der Fah Fah and I went over to the library to watch the candidates "debate" and his performance was impressive. How impressive? His knowledge of the issues was quite solid, his appearance was respectful of the seriousness of the office for which he's running, and the other candidates took note - he was the last to speak, standing before the crowd and many of the other candidates took note and followed his lead.
